with me, George Pearse, an experienced psychotherapist based in East London and available for both online and face-to-face counselling sessions.
Working together on a one-to-one basis, I can help you with both short- and long-term counselling and therapy. At present, sessions take place online via Zoom or Skype.
In my role as therapist, I endeavour to begin helping you understand how your past experiences may be impacting your present reality, specifically in relation to symptoms of anxiety and depression.
I have a Master's degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of London, together with experience working across several mental health organisations.
Experience has taught me the importance of establishing a strong relationship between client and counsellor.
Where possible, we will build a fuller understanding of your personal narrative, which can be very engaging work.
The goal is that new perspectives and fresh insights discovered through therapy can lead to lasting positive change.
I was unsure about therapy but actually it was quite transformative – George has helped me stop and see the constant stream of unhelpful thoughts I've been having...
I can offer brief, focused counselling where we can address a current situation, such as a bereavement or relationship difficulties.
In longer term work, we may deliberately agree to leave the end date open ended, to allow us to address more fully your present problems and their origins in early experience.
Sessions of 50 minutes are £60.
I'm pleased to be able to offer lower rates for those currently experiencing financial constraints – please enquire for further details.
